About the role
We are looking for a Marketing & Partnerships Executive to support our corporate sales team in driving revenue across event sponsorship, advertising, consultancy, content, and data solutions. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing global marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and build strong relationships with corporate partners operating in the higher education sector.
You will work closely with the sales, commercial, and marketing teams to ensure campaigns align with divisional objectives and regional priorities. This role requires a strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and hands-on execution skills to drive engagement and revenue growth.
Key activities
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
- Develop and implement global multi-channel marketing campaigns to support outbound sales efforts.
- Leverage email marketing, digital advertising, social media, and content marketing to generate high-quality leads.
- Craft compelling marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and website content, to support sales conversations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to refine messaging and positioning based on market insights.
Lead Generation & CRM Management
- Implement data-driven lead generation strategies to drive new business opportunities.
- Utilise marketing automation and CRM tools to nurture prospects and track campaign performance.
- Develop audience segmentation strategies to target key decision-makers in corporate businesses within the higher education sector.
Event & Sponsorship Marketing
- Create and execute marketing campaigns for THE’s global events, ensuring strong participation and sponsorship sales.
- Work with the commercial team to develop sponsorship packages and promotional materials.
- Optimise event marketing strategies to drive attendance from and ROI for corporate partners.
Brand & Partnership Development
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, ensuring their brand objectives align with THE’s offerings.
- Identify co-marketing opportunities with key industry stakeholders.
- Support the development of strategic partnerships to enhance THE’s global presence.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Develop targeted content marketing campaigns that showcase THE’s insights, reports, and consultancy services.
- Create case studies, whitepapers, and industry reports to position THE as a trusted partner for corporate clients.
- Work with THE’s editorial and research teams to produce compelling thought leadership content.
Data & Performance Optimisation
- Continuously track and optimise marketing efforts using analytics and reporting tools.
- Measure campaign effectiveness, ROI, and lead conversion rates to refine strategies.
- Provide regular insights to the commercial team on market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive analysis.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting outbound sales teams.
- Expertise in digital marketing, lead generation, and CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Ability to develop data-driven marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth.
- Experience marketing events, sponsorships, and consultancy services is a plus.
- Strong content creation skills, including writing for sales collateral, email marketing, and presentations.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of the higher education sector and corporate engagement strategies.
- Experience working in media, consultancy, or B2B event marketing.
- Ability to analyse data and translate insights into marketing actions.
