HYBRID / LOCATION (1 - 2 days/week in the office)
SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

This is a great opportunity to drive the product ownership of our Interdisciplinary Science Research Ranking [ISR]. You will become the subject matter expert of the ranking and of the higher education sector and be responsible for ensuring high quality delivery and continuous improvement. You will have access to technical and operational expertise to assist you in delivering this. The successful applicant will have the aptitude, attitude, and gravitas to make this role their own.

Key Tasks and responsibilities
THE are looking for a full time Product Owner to own the methodology and delivery of ISR and potential associated products or rankings.
Key role responsibilities:
- Ranking delivery: full accountability for all aspects of the ranking. Working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including clients, partners and sponsors, to ensure delivery timelines are met.
- Higher Education Sector: develop in-depth understanding of global HEIs and their approach to interdisciplinarity, especially in the research domain. Fielding external queries on definitions and details of the project.
- Methodology: liaising with Project Sponsor and Data Science team on continued improvement and review. Ownership of detailed documentation.
- Building strong relationships with institutions, facilitating provision of subjective data, driving participation.
- Data Collection: Working closely with our internal developers and external data providers to ensure efficient and accurate collection of data from all parties.
- Assessment of data and data quality: Ownership of data definitions and validation tasks, working closely with data QA specialist and Data Science team to ensure validity of all data used; driving further improvements to internal processes.
- Line management and development of Data Editor(s).
- Building the reputation of the ranking(s) as a whole for example presenting ISR methodology at events and hosting masterclass webinars.
Skills and experience
- Operational use of data; Good understanding of the use of quantitative and qualitative data for assessment purposes; experience in working with data pipelines (collection, processing and delivery).
- Delivery focused; highly motivated, aptitude and attitude to take responsibility.
- Effective communicator, negotiator and influencer: SME, ensuring full alignment on all aspects of the ranking, and driving the strategic development of ISR, with institutions, higher education experts and key business stakeholders.
- Update reporting to senior management on progress and milestones of project.

- Desirable:
- Knowledge/user of data analysis, using tools such as SQL.
- Degree level education.
- Experience in higher education and rankings.
- Foreign language skills.
