SALARY: £30,000–£35,000 (dependent on experience)

The Team
THE’s commercial team partners with universities, ministries, and sector organisations around the world to understand their priorities—from global reputation to international recruitment, research development to institutional strategy. With colleagues based across the UK, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas, you will join a collaborative global team supporting hundreds of institutions.
Role Overview
The Regional Manager – MENA will be based in London and responsible for growing and retaining THE’s university partnerships across the MENA region. The remit includes building relationships, driving renewals and generating new business across a portfolio of commercial products, including:
Marketing and advertising solutions for universities
Sponsorship opportunities at THE’s global and regional event series
Hiring solutions and subscriptions via THE's academic recruitment platform
THE Campus+ subscriptions
Digital institutional subscriptions to THE’s news and journalism
Marketing and advertising solutions for business schools through THE and Poets&Quants media platforms
The role requires proactive engagement with university partners, understanding their objectives and connecting them with solutions that support their strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Growth & Revenue Delivery
Drive renewal processes and secure upgrades within existing university accounts.
Identify and convert new business opportunities across the aforementioned commercial product lines.
Conduct market research and use regional knowledge to inform commercial strategies.
Client Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders across the higher education sector.
Ensure clients fully understand and utilise the solutions available to them, improving engagement and renewal outcomes.
Translate client needs into tailored, multi-product proposals that deliver measurable value.
Sales Operations & Cross-Team Collaboration
Lead regular meetings with prospects and existing partners, both virtually and in-person.
Attend key industry and THE events to support relationship building and drive sales opportunities.
Work in partnership with the Middle East & Africa team’s Regional Directors, customer success, marketing function, and subscriptions account management team to create integrated solutions for clients.
