About the Role
We are looking for a Sponsorship Sales Manager to join Times Higher Education’s corporate team, with a clear focus on selling event sponsorship and exhibition packages, primarily for the Asia Pacific Sustainable Business Summit, part of the Global Sustainable Development Congress series (GSDC).
This role is about commercial sales. You will sell tailored sponsorship and exhibition opportunities that align with the strategic priorities of corporate partners. You will tap into THE’s wider global events portfolio where relevant, but your main focus will be on the Asia Pacific Sustainable Business Summit.
The Asia Pacific Sustainable Business Summit brings together leaders from business, academia, government, and civil society to drive action on sustainability in the region. It is a core part of GSDC’s international footprint and a key platform for corporate visibility and partnership.
You will report to the Commercial Director, with a dotted line to the Asia Pacific Summit leadership. You will work closely with marketing, content, and event teams who will support lead generation and delivery. Your role is to convert opportunities into revenue and build strong commercial relationships.
This role requires domestic and international travel to attend events, client meetings, and industry conferences.
Key Responsibilities
Focus on sponsorship and exhibition sales for the Asia Pacific Sustainable Business Summit
Achieve and exceed individual revenue targets
Build and manage a pipeline of corporate sponsors and exhibitors
Prospect, engage, and close new commercial partners
Develop and present sponsorship options that match client objectives within the event framework
Maintain strong ongoing relationships with sponsors to support renewal and growth
Work with marketing to align sales campaigns with promotional activity
Coordinate with events teams to ensure sponsor commitments are delivered
Keep CRM up to date with activity, pipeline and forecasts
Monitor competitor events and sponsorship trends in the sustainability space
Represent THE at relevant events to build networks and generate leads
Experience and Skills Required
Proven track record in event sponsorship sales or exhibition sales
Strong experience selling into corporate clients, ideally in sustainability or related sectors
Experience managing a full sales cycle from lead generation to close
Comfortable presenting to senior leaders in business and government
Highly organised with strong pipeline management skills
Commercial focus and track record of meeting targets
Able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
Clear communication skills, both written and oral
Good working knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems
Willingness to travel internationally as required
